Chuck Seibel, Director

Mary McGuinness, Associate Director

Hires and mentors Pool Lecturers and Graduate Teaching Assistants with Associate Director Margaret Coffey; assists the AEC Director with program management, oversees class scheduling and staffing; serves as liaison for sponsored students; teaches in regular AEC courses and special programs; scores AEC Proficiency Test.

Margaret Coffey, Associate Director
M.Ed. TESOL, Boston University, 1981. Develops, secures and implements special programs; directs and teaches in special programs; teaches Special Studies in Grammar; oversees AEC cross-cultural advising; hires and mentors Pool Lecturers and Graduate Teaching Assistants with Associate director Mary McGuiness; assists the AEC Director with program management; author: Fitting In, Communication Through Writing and co-author: Intercultural Advising in English Language Programs; author several articles.

Bruce Bertsch, MCSE, MCDBA Computer Systems Specialist
Manages the Center's local area network and student computer lab; provides technical support and training to faculty and staff; manages various database systems; develops desktop and web applications for the AEC and maintains the AEC web site.

Geri Lamer, Program Associate
M.A. Linguistics, University of Kansas, 1994. Provides logistical support for special short term English language programs; coordinates AEC cultural activities; supervises AEC conversation leaders; teaches service-learning workshops for AEC students.

Suzanne Achleitner, Lecturer

Teaches regular AEC courses, directs the AEC Computer Lab, develops curriculum; scores the AEC proficiency test.

Kathryn Algren, Lecturer

Mark Algren, Language Specialist

Develops, coordinates and teaches in special short-term programs; serves as liaison for government-sponsored students; serves as CEA Re-accreditation coordinator; scores the AEC proficiency test; chapter author, “Developing through e-mail discussion lists” in Professional Development in Language Education Series, Volume 1: Becoming Contributing Professionals, chapter co-author, "So, You've agreed to be a conference chair!" in Leadership Skills for English Language Educators, and numerous articles; frequent conference presenter and invited speaker.

Barbara Hicks Administration Network Support
Began at the AEC in August 2007 in a newly created position. Assists the Director and Associate Directors with admitting students, monitoring sponsored students, compiling and disseminating information about the Center, and carrying out special projects
Mary Perkins, Accounting Specialist
Employed with the AEC since June 1998.
Responsible for the AEC Budget/Accounting, Purchasing, Payroll, Staff Travel, Inventory, Office Supplies.
