The Applied English Center designs special programs for sponsored groups. We take pride in customizing each program to meet the needs of the sponsoring group. Past programs have focused on English teacher-training, academic and cultural orientation, conversational English, business English, and vocational ESL.

Each program is designed and coordinated by a team of AEC faculty and administrators. Where appropriate, faculty and staff from other academic fields, schools, or businesses assist in program development and instruction. Session length and dates are set to meet the groups needs.

Program services include:

  • Custom-tailored curriculum
  • Special orientation program
  • Field trips
  • Cultural enrichment activities
  • Visits to local schools, businesses, and community groups
  • Housing arrangements, including home stays
  • Transportation
  • Counseling services
  • AEC contact person and advisor for sponsored group
  • Periodic reports to sponsor
  • Certificate of Participation
